Jayce LLP is a fast-growing, full-service CPA and advisory firm that provides accounting, audit, advisory, and tax services to enterprises across Ontario. We are headquartered in Markham, ON, but our opportunities extend remotely to qualified professionals.

The Opportunity:
We are looking for a freelance accountant to join our team on a flexible, project-based basis. As a freelancer, you will have full control over your schedule, choosing when and where to complete assignments while delivering high-quality accounting services to our clients.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with staff and partners to ensure accurate and efficient file completion.

• Prepare Notice to Reader working paper files and financial statements.

• Assist in Review and Audit engagements as needed.

• Prepare corporate income tax returns (T2).

• Prepare personal income tax returns (T1).

• Complete other tax filings, including T4, T5, T3, NR4, and NR6.

• Prepare GST/HST filings based on bookkeeping records.

• ​

What We're Looking For:

• A university degree or college diploma in business or accounting.

• A minimum of 5 years of related accounting experience.

• Strong experience with financial statement preparation and corporate tax compliance.

• Proficiency with CaseWare, Profile, QuickBooks, and Simply Accounting is an asset.

• Tech-savvy with an eagerness to learn and adapt to new software, applications, and online tools.

• Excellent time-management skills and self-motivation.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Fluency in Cantonese/Mandarin is an asset but not required.

• Willingness to take on increased responsibility as experience grows.
